PKF Antares is a dynamic and growing professional services firm providing accounting, audit, tax, and business advisory services to a diverse client base. We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting & Administrative Assistant to join our team.
This hybrid role combines core accounting functions with administrative support to ensure smooth operations across our offices. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and GST filing.
• Perform reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial data.
• Support tax preparation using software such as QuickBooks, Caseware, Profile, and Xero.
• Coordinate client communications, including audit scheduling and follow-ups.
• Manage onboarding processes for new employees.
• Monitor timesheets and prepare quarterly audit updates.
• Maintain the knowledge database, update the training calendar in Odoo, and coordinate Employee of the Month recognition.
• Perform server folder clean-up and maintain organized records.
• Provide general administrative support, including document preparation and internal reporting.
Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of Accounting experience
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Experience with reconciliations, GST filing, and public accounting tasks.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Caseware, Profile, Xero, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Discretion in handling confidential financial and HR information.
