Overview
A Software Developer is a crucial team member responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions. You play a pivotal role in turning ideas and requirements into functional software products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Additionally, you will be involved in Data Analytics and engage in coding, code reviews, and teamwork to deliver high-quality software that aligns with project objectives. You contribute to innovation across various domains, from web and mobile applications to embedded systems, shaping the digital landscape and enhancing user experiences in a rapidly evolving tech-driven world.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in English with excellent oral communication, values, and ethics, effective interpersonal skills, team player.
- A master's degree, usually in computer science, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Must be able to pass a criminal record check, credit check, and be eligible for professional liability insurance.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the complete software development life cycle (SDLC) to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Collect and document user requirements, formulating both logical and physical specifications.
- Generate specifications and assess operational feasibility for seamless development.
- Integrate software components, ensuring the creation of a fully functional software system.
- Conduct thorough research, analyze technical data, and synthesize information to conceptualize, develop, and rigorously test computer-based systems, including mobile applications.
- Develop models for data, processes, and networks to optimize architecture and evaluate design solutions for performance and reliability. Deploy programs and gather user feedback.
- Plan strategically, design, and oversee the end-to-end development, installation, integration, and operation of computer-based systems, including mobile applications. Ensure continuous software updates with the latest features.
- Provide leadership and coordinate interdisciplinary teams of information systems professionals for the development of software, integrated information systems, process control software, and other embedded software control systems.
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Software Developer.
- Experience designing interactive applications.
- Ability to develop software in C++, Java, Python, Go or other programming languages.
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies (Django ORM, SQL Alchemy)
- Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (Django, FastAPI)
- Experience with test-driven development
- Proficiency in software engineering tools
- Ability to document requirements and specifications.
- BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
